what to tell someone when youre getting hit on and don’t know what to do
7-11 bring your own cup day (:
if these girls were fat, people would be up in arms about the “obesity epidemic” and how unhealthy they are
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
let a black person do this. It would have been “ghetto” and “ratchet” and “lol niggers and they chicken”
reblogged for the commentary
Commentary that isn’t even necessary. I’m not saying it’s not true, but that’s not what this pictures for. I feel so bad for people who can’t post a personal photo without people jumping at it for what it could mean or who it might offend.
Leave people alone to post their buckets of frosty death without making it a social justice topic.
^Thank
i’m on tumblr all the time because i need constant reassurance that i’m not the only one failing at life
I love the fact we’ve been complaining about Tumblr changes, but then they give us something that actually moves
and we’re like
i’m really proud of my friends!
i’m really proud of your art improvements, your cosplay, your video game skills, and your attractive faces!
if you’re reading this, just know that i’m so honored to call you my friend!
and those of you that i don’t know who are reading this, i’m proud of you too!
you all keep doing what your doing and punch today in the face!
shhh do not disturb the summer bloggers in their natural habitat
revenge of the summer bloggers
How about NO THIS IS NOT FUCKING OKAY
Get out of here with your “summer bloggers” bullshit and realise that taking pictures of people without their knowledge and consent is not only rude, it’s fucking disgusting and creepy! One of the girls in this photo has the right to feel uncomfortable and unsafe with the knowledge that somebody out there that she doesn’t even know took a picture of her and her friends (again, without their knowledge or consent) and then posted it onto a social blogging site where anyone can get a hold of it for the sole purpose of mocking them. Then, when a message gets left which rightfully asks what the fuck this shit is, you perpetuate the mentality that an innocent photo of teenage girls getting some goddamn food somehow makes them inferior to you.
What the fuck is wrong with you people when nobody points out that there’s a problem with this? This isn’t about “hipsters vs the rest of Tumblr!!!” at all, it’s about the fact that ridiculing other girls just for fitting the stereotypical “white girl summer bloggers” format that Tumblr seems to hate so much is grounds to take photos of them (DID I MENTION IT WAS WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT?) and make fun of them.
You’re no better than creepshots, and what you’re doing is demeaning and humiliating to these girls that don’t owe you a damn thing by looking or behaving in a way you don’t like that isn’t doing the slightest bit of harm.
Keep it classy, Tumblr.
Thanks to Tort Law this is also a sue-able offense. (At least if these people are in the US and the original poster is from the US.)
To keep things simple, “Tort Law” is something that allows US citizens to sue for invasions of privacy in any of four classes; divulging confidential facts not considered newsworthy, depicting a person in a false light, using a person’s appearance or personal facts for revenue without the authorization of said person, and intruding a person’s private area.
Tort Law also states that the cases involved do not necessarily have to be criminal-level cases.
So, with the number of notes on this post and the context of the post, you could be sued for exposing not just one, but five persons’ personal lives (where they are, what they’re doing) and, alongside that, depicting them in a false light for the sake of the vast entertainment of Tumblr users.
So now, you’ve messed with law ALONGSIDE ethics, and possibly ALONGSIDE Tumblr’s terms of service.
Just saying.
